All events take place at Pottawatomie Park Grand Pavilion Saturday, August 10th Rain or Shine This is a Fundraiser for the River Corridor Foundation of St. Charles 501 (c) 3 In cooperation with the city of St. Charles, Downtown St. Charles Partnership, St. Charles Park District and Pottawatomie Garden Club, the River Corridor Foundation of St. Charles supports and advocates for projects that will enhance the downtown riverfront environment as a destination for cultural, educational, recreational and economic opportunities that are accessible to all. 5K Run starts at 8:00 a.m. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. USTAF certified course is chip-timed and takes runners over the river, into Timbers Park and back again. 3 mile Walk starts at 8:05 a.m. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. Route travels into Mt. Saint Mary's Park and back again along the river and through town. Pets and strollers are welcome on the walk and runners are invited to participate. Party with a cookout and refreshments at the Pavilion throughout the morning. Live music featuring Jeff Leonard of Hartland, WI. Medals and prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers and Best Overall Time runners. All participants of the run and walk receive a performance t-shirt and goody bag. A RAFFLE DRAWING will be held after the run & walk at approximately 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. One RAFFLE ENTRY / $50 increment / registrant. Winners need not be present to win. Prizes include: * One Year Family membership to Norris Recreation Center * 3 Night Luxury stay - at a Marriott Resort * One week accommodations in Breckenridge, CO - 4 BR sleeps up to 13 people * One week accommodations in Kona, HI - 2 BR oceanfront condo on the Big Island Runner Registration Fees:
Colonial Cafe Kids' Turtle Hurdle Obstacle Course timed trials begin at 9:30 a.m. Registration and practice runs begin at 8:00 a.m. Children ages 4-11 will be challenged on an obstacle course that takes them over, under, around and through various tasks! "Fishing for Prizes" will be fun for the kids to see what they catch and t-shirts can be colored with washable markers. Other games and actvities keep the children busy while they await their timed trial. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in each category. and goody bags and t-shirts included for all who participate.
