Water Street Studios is home to 25 artist studios, 2 award-winning galleries, 2 classrooms, a ceramics studio, and metalworking studio. Our art center attracts nearly 10,000 visitors every year through public and private events, classes, art exhibitions, and more. Enjoy our ever-growing arts programming in a historic, renovated warehouse space located in downtown Batavia, IL.

The ideal artist candidate is someone....
  • who demonstrates a willingness to participate in program activities including, but not limited to exhibitions, education, outreach, and service hours. 
  • who participates in the on-going promotion and marketing of program activities including events, classes, exhibitions, and other opportunities. 
  • who conducts themselves in a way that is consistent with the organization's code of ethics (available upon request). 
  • whose mission and vision align with the organization's mission and vision. 
  • who has an interest in enhancing, cultivating, and practicing their creative skills. 
  • who is willing to participate in a collaborative and vibrant artist community.
