About AID’s Creative Expressions Group
Members of AID’s Creative Expressions group meets weekly to create group projects, which are reflective of their triumphs, and struggles they have endured. The members of the group utilize various artistic techniques while processing and reconciling emotional conflicts, fostering their self-awareness, developing social skills, and improving their overall mental health. The focus and goal of the Creative Expressions group is to educate, inform and increase awareness of the strengths and abilities of individuals who work beyond, strive, and conquer stigma’s associated with mental illness through the support of family, friends, professionals and their communities.
