Fine Line Arts Festival kicks off with Fine Line’s first aluminum sand casting event on Opening Night, Friday, June 6, 5:30 – 9 pm, along with a catered dinner and live music! Participants get to watch while the melted aluminum is poured into molds, and will take their own finished pieces home that evening. Spend Saturday, Festival day, exploring all Fine Line has to offer, from 9 am – 3 pm, from hands-on activities to demonstrations. Free activities include creating wet felting vessels, papermaking, marbling, or participate in “yarn bombing” a few chosen trees on the Fine Line campus! For a small fee, you can try out felting, copper etching, basket making, and Thermofax screen printing, and purchase pottery that you will glaze and watch being fired in a raku kiln.
Saturday’s event is free admission and open to the public. This is a great day for every one of all ages. Bring the kids to see all the magic and participate in the fun!
