Due to COVID-19 Project Mobility has made the decision to transition the 4th Annual Hops for Hope 5K to a virtual 5K for 2020.
THIS YEAR THE 5K IS VIRTUAL BUT WE HAVE EXCITING NEWS
YOU WILL RECEIVE A BEER STOP 6 PACK &
GET TO ATTEND OUR FIRST EVER BREWDAYS !
(SEE BELOW FOR MORE INFO)
Hops for Hope 5K is STILL a twist on the traditional 5K! What could that twist be? It is still craft beer like previous years but we are proud to announce we are the ONLY virtual 5K to give participants a Beer Stop 6 Pack! You heard that right! The first 400 registrations will receive a 6 pack with 1 can of beer from each Featured Brewery that would normally be on the course. You get to choose when and how you drink the beer (please maintain local laws and do not drink while running - this is illegal).
PLUS! All participants will be able to attend BrewDays the week of the 5K. Each brewery will have their own BrewDay where all Hops for Hope 5K participants can head over and enjoy discounted beer ($4 only!!) See below for the BrewDay schedule.
We will have a Virtual Awards Ceremony on Facebook Live Sunday, October 11th and we will also have our annual Adaptive Bike Giveaway.
*You must finish your run by 12 pm October 11th for us to mention you during the awards
**To receive the Beer Stop 6 Pack you must be 21 years or older and show a valid ID at Packet Pick-Up. We are not able to ship Beer Stop 6 Pack, they must be picked up at Packet Pick-Up. No exceptions.
What is a virtual 5K?
Due to current restrictions regarding large gatherings (50 people or less) we are not able to host the event (trust us we really did try!) Participants can run/walk whenever and wherever between the week of October 3rd - October 11th.
Participants have the flexibility to support our cause while participating in the event remotely at your own time, pace and even place. It is a win- win, since participants can choose the day, the weather and the route while raising money and having some fun along the way. You can choose to run outside by yourself or in a small socially distant group or you can run inside on a treadmill! The options are endless this year.
Virtual races also allow people from all over to participate, not just the Chicagoland area like previous years.
Proceeds benefit Project Mobility's mission to bring adaptive cycling opportunities to the lives of children, adults, and wounded service members with emotional and physical challenges.?
WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW
MORE THAN EVER!
Our 3 largest fundraisers we host throughout the year have either been postponed, changed to virtual or canceled. Everything we do at Project Mobility relies HEAVILY on these events.
Please register today for the Virtual Hops for Hope 5K!
*Please maintain social distancing while running/walking and maintain local laws
