For Four Fridays in March...It's MINI-MALA FRIDAYS!!!!
WHAT IS A MINI- MALA?
Well, a full on Mala is a series of repeating 108 sun salutations, including meditations and breaks. We hosted our first one in Sept, partnering with Peaceful Parlour in Geneva. Everyone thought it was great fun so we did it again to kick off the 2013 New Year. Even though people loved it, it IS quite a workout, so we have decided to scale it down to 1/3, to allow for more students to participate and get the feeling of how a mala works. The Mini-Mala will consist of 36 Surynamaskar A- the basic sun salutation done all over the world, instead of 108. The beauty of a mala comes from the rhythmic movement uniting with the breath and then encompassing the mind. It is quite an experience! The Mini Malas have been such a hit in February, we have decided to do this special event celebration again in March!
