Are you afraid of the dark? Think you can handle the ¾ mile Haunted Hike? The Boy Scouts of America, Three Fires Council will present the 20th Annual Haunted Hike at Camp Big Timer, 37W955 Big Timber Road in Elgin on October 22nd & 23rd and 29th & 30th ? Fridays, 7:00pm - 11:00pm and Saturdays, 6:30pm - 11:00pm.
Scouts will be in the scare zone to present their ¾ mile established trail that comes alive with new featured stops. The event is open to the public and general admission is $12.00 ($2 off with Haunted Hike flyer) and $7.00 for Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts in uniform. The event flier is available online and at local business offering attractions for young and old alike. Food and beverages are available to purchase and parking is free.
The kiddie hike for those who prefer fun activities with sweet treats rather than spooky creeps will be Saturday the 23rd & the 30th from 1:30pm to 4:00pm. Youth admission is $6.00 and adults are free. The kiddie hike takes place during the day, and also offers games, decals, treat bags, music and lots of fun.
The Haunted Hike began in October of 1990 and records over 5,000 attendees from all around the Chicagoland area.
