Description
Walk through displays of replica equipment that was used by Civil War soldiers and see demonstrations of camp life. At this hands-on event, visitors can handle equipment, try on uniforms, and taste a little 1860s cooking.
Drills for kids: At 2:30 p.m. KIDS CAMP will begin. Once “enlisted”, kids will learn drills from re-enactors of the 19th Illinois and 6th Wisconsin. What fun for them and a proud moment for the parents!
The Durant-Peterson House and Sholes School Museums will be open too.
