On Friday, December 2, the Village of Campton Hills will be hosting its first Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony, from 6 to 9 pm in front of the Village HallFriday, December 2, 2016, 40W270 LaFox Road. “This is a great opportunity to kick off the holiday season as a community with our very first “Holiday in the Hills” event. We would love to see the community join together for this event and support our local businesses that have helped make this possible.” stated Village President Harry Blecker.
Following the official tree lighting ceremony “Holiday in the Hills” will feature live music and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus (arriving by fire engine). Holiday live greens will be available for purchase along with samplings of roasted chestnuts.
The Village’s Holiday in the Hills event will provide a fun opportunity for children to get involved with their community while enjoying the holiday festivities. We invite children to bring environmentally-friendly ornaments and decorations they have made to hang on the holiday tree in front of the Village Hall between 6-9pm on Friday, Dec. 2.
Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans will be accepting donations at the December 2nd “Holiday in the Hills” event. Cash or donated items from the wish list will be accepted at Old Second Bank in Wasco until Dec. 3 and at the Village Hall. Or, feel free to bring items for donation the night of the event.
Make sure to take a walk around the area and visit local businesses for special offers.
